Following a very successful launch of 7WOMEN for International Women’s Day 2024, Olympia McEwan is very grateful to extend her message of “More Women’s Portraits in Public Spaces”, in the George Crossan Gallery, kindly supported by the Guernsey Literary Festival and Bailiwick Estates.

7WOMEN is a personal campaign to raise the profile of a small group of women, all with connections to the island. These women have led their professions, broken new ground and inspired change through their relentless endeavour.

Olympia’s 7WOMEN include the internationally renowned Scientist, Professor Josephine Arendt, a prominent campaigner for gay rights and equality in religious settings, Jayne Ozanne, the first female member of the House of Lords from the Channel Islands, Baroness Pitkeathley, co-founder of The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, Jo Priaulx, the first female H.M. Procureur to the States of Guernsey, Megan Pullum KC, singer songwriter, Nessi Gomes, and co-founder of Specsavers, Dame Mary Perkins.

The exhibition will run from 10:00am-16:00pm daily from Sunday 28 April until Sunday 5 May and is supported by the Guernsey Literary Festival and Bailiwick Estates.

No booking is required for the talk or to visit the exhibition.
