Ben and Naomi Tustin

Ben and Naomi Tustin started their journey of seaweed discovery in 2018 and now have two businesses making skincare and food products from this incredible natural resource. After studying psychology at university Ben moved to Guernsey in 1996 and spent 22 years in offshore finance – an ideal background to becoming Guernsey’s first commercial seaweed forager in 70 years. Naomi’s family have been in Guernsey for at least the last 300 years. After seven years in the family florist business, Naomi went on to be a facilities manager in the finance industry while also running a home baking business. In 2020 the experimentation with seaweed as a food seasoning started and the rest is history! Ben and Naomi have been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers, as a result of their foraging adventures, as well as Channel ITV Television, BBC Guernsey and also featuring in the Channel 5 series ‘Jersey & Guernsey’.
