James Colmer
Children from schools across the Bailiwick took up the challenge to write a story of no more than 300 words on the theme of Myths & Legends.
We are delighted to celebrate the winning stories at a special prize-giving ceremony. The awards were judged by Huw Lewis-Jones, Francesca Simon, Maz Evans and Joanne Harris.
There will be cash prizes up for grabs and the winners will also be presented with a bespoke illustration of their stories, by James Colmer.
The 1st prize winning stories will also be displayed as part of an exhibition of watercolour paintings by Charlie Buchanan at the Guille-Alles Library from 17th -29th May, curated by Art for Guernsey. The paintings served as an inspiration for students taking part in this year’s competition.
The WriteStuff competition is sponsored by Julius Baer, and supported by the Guille-Alles Library, Art for Guernsey, Guernsey Arts, Guernsey Museums and Island Families.
