Madeleine Bunting

Madeleine Bunting was a columnist for the Guardian.  She’s the author of The Model Occupation: The Channel Islands Under German Rule, 1940 – 45, Willing Slaves: How the Overwork Culture is Ruling Our Lives (both Harper Collins), The Plot: A Biography of an English Acre and Love of Country : A Hebridan Journey (both Granta).  Her books have been shortlisted for the Ondaatje Prize, the Wainwright Beer Book Prize and the Saltire Prize for Non Fiction.  Island Songis her debut novel.
