Jackie Bennett

Author Jackie Bennett began her career working behind the scenes in theatre and television before becoming a writer and magazine editor. She has spent the last six years travelling the British Isles in search of unusual and out-of-the-way gardens. She shares her stories from remote islands and inland sanctuaries, drawing on The Writer’s Garden, Shakespeare’s Gardens and her latest book, Island Gardens. Her books have been described as ‘part-biography, part-travel, part-garden guide.’
